About Us

At Ash & Aloe, we are community safety consultants committed to building safer, more connected neighborhoods through proven strategies in conflict resolution, de-escalation, and transformative justice. With decades of combined experience in grassroots organizing, political violence mitigation, and crisis response, we bring both lived and professional expertise to every space we enter.

Our work is grounded in real-world practice. We have provided alternative safety at large-scale events, supported communities through moments of crisis with rapid response coordination, and facilitated trainings on nonviolent communication, bystander intervention, and trauma-informed de-escalation. We’ve coached frontline volunteers, collaborated with coalitions to interrupt extremism, and developed protocols for maintaining safety in politically charged environments.

We know that safety means more than policing—it means relationships, trust, and preparation. We’ve trained youth, activists, nonprofit staff, and community leaders using customized curricula rooted in cultural competence, transformative justice, and community accountability. From urban neighborhoods to statewide coalitions, we’ve built systems that prioritize care over control and people over punishment.

We don’t just consult—we co-create safety with the communities we serve.

The protesters, some carrying flags and signs, are moving through a street littered with debris. Nearby, leafless trees and traditional European architecture suggest an urban setting. The atmosphere is tense and chaotic.
